I could not decide where to put this so -- here it is.

I seem to be missing Wii messages, one being the w-o-n newsletter and some Miis that were sent -- most
likely some others. I am wondering if anyone knows how the Wii message thing works. I do get messages -- and sometimes the news letter -- so -- I have begun to wonder if my problem is due to the fact that I use the USB connector and I do not have the Wii online long enough or perhaps more to the point often enough. It began to occur to me that you have to get your messages quickly or they just disappear. All of my contacts light up and I can send to any of them. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Glad to hear it's working again. I'm not sure how long Nintendo's servers keep messages. I do know I've gotten them at least a day late before when I had my Wii in the other room. I'm also pretty sure that the Wii checks for new messages/miis once every 10 minutes(assuming the connection is available).

Thanks, hopefully the new connector has solved it -- and I have told my regular Wii friends about the problem.
I always answer my messages and I would hate for someone to think that I ignored them : ) I did not get any old messages though, however I think I was having trouble before I realized it and I think it was not working longer than I realized. I have heard of another person having trouble as well, my connector was old and this
one has updated software I guess you would say -- it is version 4. I do not know if that had anything to do with it.
