I thought you would like it JJ, we usually agree about books. I have sooooooo many questions. It does get your attention -- I think the stone is going to definitely be part of who Leonidas REALLY is -- and who his parents REALLY are. What sort of world do you suppose it is JJ. Why do you think the captor guy -- wants Leonidas to keep telling his story ? I have been wondering about those things.

I'm glad you liked it JJ :) That's more motivation for me to work on it.
I'm actually not very good at making up names. A while back I went on different sites that tell you the origins of names and what they mean and stuff and made a long list of names I'd like to use. Sadly I lost most of that a while back when I had to reformat my hard drive... But the names I've used so far were on there.

Amalthia(the girl he is supposed to find in Scourge)- I believe is the name of the girl Jesus saved from dying in the Bible.

That is an interesting way to get your names -- I did not know about places like that.
JJ and I are having fun talking about the red stone and other things -- it is fun to speculate -- JJ and I usually like the same kind of books.

Yes, we do often likethe same books :D Actually whenever we read a good book we almost always suggest it to one another. And we usually like it :D We have very similar tastes. No wonder we're so close :D

I've used a couple different name generator sites for my book. I have a long lsit of men's names and another long list of women's names. They're all from different origins. Different countries and such. Most Ireland, Britain, Scotland and such. Some german and Celtic anmes. Anglo-Saxon. I have lots of different names from different places. I think only about 6-7 names are of my own. And I have quite a few characters. The main majority of my characters are based off of my friend's personality(as per their request when I mentioned to them that I was writing a fantasy novel, "Can I be in it, can I be in it?" it was pretty funny to see that everyone's reaction was the same). Let's see..... I think I'l post my list of characters here :D Yeah. That'd be fun. I'll post my summary too. Just a forewarning though. It seems that everyone is described as "slightly muscular" but that's because I didn't know how else to put it.
Dragon Spirit

Jade Storm- (based around me)- 16, Blue eyes, Brown hair very very long, pointed ears, tall, slightly muscular, stronger than she looks and very skilled, stubborn but not proud, very perceptive, sweet and lovable, loves to read, hunt and fight, stands up for what she knows is right, and fights evil at all costs. When she was 9 years old her Elven mother died in her arms, is very skilled with the sword and bow. Main Dream- To fly.
Darian Storm- 21, five years older than Jade, Gray eyes, raven black hair, long face, tall and thin, slightly pointed ears, kind of stubborn (not as much as Jade), but not unkind, strong and skilled, hunter, protective of his sister, is a nice person, works as a blacksmith in the village, loves music, especially acoustic. Main Dream-To leave Chaleon forest
Ceris Quinlan-17 tall, thin, muscular but not a lot, Green eyes, medium brown hair hangs to his shoulders, is best friends with Jade (a year older), and secretly likes her, is very protective of her, he’s kind and sweet, but a little stubborn, especially about his beliefs, is kind and lovable, very skilled in swordsmanship and the art of Daggers, also very good with his fists. Main Dream- to make a difference in life and be somebody
Sara Schylar Grear (based around Sara)- 7, small, very thin, very shy and timid, adores Jade like a mother, half human half elf (like Jade), always wants to do things that she knows she can’t, short brown hair, hazel eyes, scared to dearth of the Zorghn but deeply hates them, parents died when she was 6 by a Zorghn attack, lives with Jade. Main Dream- to have a family again
Nifravel the Swift-(based of LES) dragon, 5 in human years (in the year when she grows to her full size), Dark Green, shares the gift of the dragons with Jade, owes Jade a life debt, is suspicious of Naja, is the first dragon to be allowed to travel with humans in over a hundred years, very wise and humble, stands up for what is right, sweet and kind, caring and protective of those close to her, especially her little brother. Main Dream- to rid the world of the “evil†and bring the dragons out of hiding.
Naja Schy- (sounds like sky)(based around Alicia)- 19 tall and thin, long wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes, very pretty, very strong, slightly muscular (just like all the others :D), is ranger of the Southelands (southlands), very mysterious and secretive, has a dark past that is not revealed until near the end of the story, nice but rough, kind, suspicious, very good fighter, cautious, stealthy, cunning. Main Dream- to have revenge on the Zorghn.
Markeya Balere- (based off Stephanie) elf, colored pupils), dark brown hair (not as long as Jade’s or Naja’s), thin built, knows her way around the forest and how to avoid being seen, she is proud, but very very emotional, sweet but has an unstable temper, is very self conscience, and a little insecure. Main Dream- to travel and help people

Haha couldn't post them all. Too much. Here's some more and there'll most likely be more after this one.
Finlay the Small- 2 years of age in human years (very young, based off Dustin) small blue dragon, younger brother of Nifravel, (head sort of looks like the head of a triceratops (sp?) dinasour), is a very gentlemanly person, but also a little bit of a pest, never understands any jokes, sort of slow to pick up on things, very talkative, and when he tries to make a joke, it never seems to be funny, but is loved by all his friends because of his sweet, gentlemanly personality. He wants to be able to protect the ones he loves, but doesn’t have enough courage. Main Dream- to have courage, and to be able to fly freely without being hunted.
Torrence- (based off David) a talking horse who was a gift to Jade’s mother, Lorna, passed on to Jade when Lorna died, very big horse, white coat with black mane, legs, and snout and black star between eyes, very sweet and protective of Jade, a little bit talkative but not annoyingly so, very old and wise, and has strong opinions about spiritual things, and things that in his opinion are immoral. Main Dream- to rid the world of evil corrupt people.
Princess Katri Naiaria- (based around Kelsey) 25, Elven princess of the Trilian Forest, strawberry blonde hair, aqua eyes, very elegant and tall, Jade’s Aunt (Lorna’s younger sister, age dif of 5 years), very kind, generous, gracious, aids Jade in her journey, very strong, and a great leader, believes in the rights of the people, but also limits to those rights. Main Dream- to continue as a good leader, and be remembered after death.
Ulrik- (based off Eric) old beyond count, long black hair, light blue eyes, elf, sorcerer of old, created a spell that made him live for a thousand years, lives in Trillian Forest, very sociable, a little strange, is a prophet(randomly tells people weird precictions that always seem to come true) Has a strange sense of humor, but after getting to know him, you can’t help but like him. Main Dream- for things to be back the way they used to be. Before dragons went into hiding.
Vanir Storm- Father of Jade and Darian, very quiet and soft-spoken, after the death of his wife he went sort of crazy and became hermit, he never talks with anyone except for Jade, he keeps to himself and spends his days in his study, sometimes in the quiet you can hear him calling his wife's name softly or muttering to himself. Has no main dream, because he’s crazy.
Lorna Naiaria Storm- Died at age 30, Elf, mother of Darian and Jade, same features of Jade, very strong believer in the Almighty One, believes that He is the creator of all things, and has a perfectly ordained plan for all, very moral and religious, believes in life after death, was to be the princess of Trilian Forest, but decided that she would rather live a life serving the Almighty One, and passed on her inheritance of the Elven throne to her younger sister, married a human, and devoted her life to serving the Almighty One.
Misha Sparrow- (based off Michelle Long) 22, married to Liam Sparrow, live in Chaleon Forest, neighbor of Jade, tall, pretty, long black hair always tied in a braid, black eyes, owns the tavern with her husband, strong willed but kind sweet person, good listener, loved by all she meets, gentle and kind. Main Dream- to help all in need.

The spirit of Coshna- Coshna was an evil man who lived centuries ago but was banished by the sorcerers of old to be a spirit roaming the nether world. But the spirit found a way to escape the nether world and began the wander through the real world to find someone to inhabit and rule the earth again and cover it in evil and darkness.
The Zorghn- Evil creatures that roam the lands killing and destroying, they look sort of like orcs but with bugs eyes, and they're bigger and scarier. Are now under the rule of the Spirit of Coshna.
Pirateers of the Wastelands- Hired assassins, under their own rule, live by their own rules, loyal to no one, power and control is their goal, kill anyone in their way. Thieves, and connivers. Believe that the weak should be destroyed.

And hopefully the last list of characters and the sort of a plot summary.
Niels Grear- (based of Aaron) 19, older brother of Sara Grear, medium length brown hair, hazel eyes, half elf half human, dominant is human, little but of pointed ears, tall, muscular (not like macho or anything), left home at the age of 15, decided that his parents were trying to hold him back and ran away to join the Pirateers, is now their leader, has been very hardened by circumstances in his life, believes that life means nothing, and that life will come to end one way or another, might as well live by what feels good, to him power is the only god, believes that if someone is weak, he must be destroyed, only the strong survive(survival of the fittest), determined to be cold, and cruel. Main Dream- to rid himself of the memories of childhood and happiness, and become all-powerful.
Alanna- 19 (based off Aryelle) second in command of the pirateers, tall long, dark brown hair, olive green eyes, excellent swordsman and warrior, secretly wants to destroy the pirateers, because of what they did to her family, so she joined up with them and stays with them learning their ways, waiting for her chance to avenge her loved ones. Main Dream- to pay back pirateers for they did to her and her family.
Dwight- 18(based off Chris), dark brown hair, gray eyes with copper ring around pupil, tall, and lanky, but stronger than he looks, very soft spoken, was a rebel all his life, and one day he killed someone, and ran away from home, he joined a local army, but became a traitor, was found by pirateers and embraced by them, has been a pirateer ever since, very hard hearted, and greedy, is good friends with Niels, and has the same beliefs as him. Main Dream- to be rich.
Amilynn- 17(based off Tory) shoulder length fiery red hair, hunter green eyes, tall strong, tomboy type girl, wears her hair pulled back at the base of her neck, was born among the pirateers, has lived with them all her life, doesn’t know that what she is doing is basically wrong, has grown with morals of pirateers around her, thinks there may be something else out there for her, is very close friends with Dwight. Main Dream- to find herself.

But a chance meet with a dragon, and forming a new bond will change her life forever.
