Good, I feel like I know Mel, I would not want to use her name without permission though.

I enjoyed that accidental chat with you Dad so much, he is a fascinating and charming man and I feel we could talk for a long long time, well we did actually. I must say that in that last photo you sent, he is indeed a handsome man as well. He actually looks scholarly as I had imagined him. I can not get used to Mel being at uni, where does the time go. When does your little brother start ? Does anybody do rowing anymore ?

Since you did I guess we can use Ben's name as well, he was right to read Eragon, the second one was less appealing. It is just pure entertainment, nothing to improve the mind, but I did enjoy Eragon and the second one enough to want to read the Brisinger. Paolini was so young when he wrote the first one, 15 or so, JJ would know, that his styled has changed as he must have done.

I just asked Mel about it. Apparently Christopher Paolini still lives with his parents. That makes me feel kind of underachieved. I certainly hadn't done anything quite as spectacular as become an international best selling novelist by the time I was 15.

That would explain the wait for book three. The boy's still trying to finish school!

And a good book it is, as I said his style has changed as he is growing up. His age does add interest to the books. I hope Brisinger is a good one !

Shurtugal is a good site to keep up with all things Paolini. I hope I spelled that right, Mell probably knows and I am sure JJ does.

I'm sure she does. I asked her about joining Lilbro the other day (she's read more of the books on the literature board than I have even though I was always the more prolific reader). She seemed to like the idea, but I didn't get a commitment out of her. I think you will have to wait until the June holidays when she has a bit more time.

That sounds excellent ! That would be good for me and Lilbro. I love to read and JJ has gotten one of my favorite books, The Naming. I told you about it, it is an Australian author and the books are very very good.
I have read 3 and I am eagerly awaiting the fourth and sadly the last.

"Alison Croggon's acclaimed young adult fantasy quartet, The Books of Pellinor, has been steadily growing in popularity worldwide since the first volume was released in Australia in 2002.

The story begins with The Gift (published in the US as The Naming), which was shortlisted for two Aurealis Awards, and continues with The Riddle and The Crow. Since its initial publication, it's been released in the UK and in the States, where the series has received critical raves and popular acclaim. The saga continues with the release of the Pellinor series in Germany in 2007 and 2008.

Part IV, The Singing, the final book in the series, will be released in 2008 - in June in Australia and in September in the UK and the US."

I am so excited JJ finally got the first book. I am been asking her to read it for literally years. I also ask you but you said you were too busy. Ask Mel if she has read any of them. I just love them and they are clean reading. I am quite anxious to revisit Pellinor. The Crow was my least favorite and it is good. The Sining should be outstanding.
