OK, nobody get mad at me, but because I'm in China, and because it was a really, really cheap price(everything here is), I bought the movie Eragon. But not really for myself. My sister has been wanting to see it, and my parents both really enjoyed it. So I just went ahead and bought it. But thankfully I didn't really waste money on it because it was cheap.
But I completely agree. The movie really isn't worth seeing. Especially in the theatres. I made the mistake of doing that. They really did ruin it. If I had never read the books, and didn't know the story, I would've loved it. But it being based off of a book, they just really messed it up. But it was a well made movie. Graphics were great, and I loved the person they chose for Saphira's voice, but other than that it was awful. But my parents really enjoyed it and they would like to have it.

Good for you JJ you got it cheap -- we paid full price for it. I was sooooo disappointed. I was very upset with the portrayal of Brom , the old timers may remember how much I like him --- remember me wanting him to come back and then saying I was glad he did not when I did not care as much for Eldest ! What a debate that was.

The Eldest was a bit stale. The training and elvish part was ok but wore off really quick. The romance also drove me off but that is because I don't like blatant romance. I like subtle romance. I never saw the movie and am glad I didn't.

Well good for you Panther. I was so disappointed in it.
Do you honestly think that there will be a third book -- I haven't had much about it. I did not like the eldest nearly as much as Eragon. I bet after the failure of Eragon they will skip making a movie of Eldest.
