I never get tired of talking about Narnia. My favorite book is the last battle and I am especially fond of Reepicheep.
So what would you like to talk about, how about why you like Narnia, what makes it special to you ?

Well, for one reason..I really like fantasy and am a story fanatic. I like all the analogies and how it can be "applied" somewhat to everyday life. Yeah, I like reepicheep too. I think "The Horse and The Boy" is one of the best books though since it actually tells something of the Kids when they are kings and queens. The one sad part about the last battle is at the end when everybody but Susan was there...She had to unfortunately stop believing the that Narnia was for real :( It always bothers me when that happens since I like all to be there. Of all the books, I think the Silver Chair was the one I least liked. Seemed really dry and boring for some reason. I think it is partly due to me not liking dreary places very much. Get me too depressed so I tend to avoid anything that is dreary. Other than that, the other books were very much enjoyed with one of my favorites the "The
Magician's Nephew". I am also a history nut who loves to read anything that close to being history material.
Have you ever read the Lord of the Rings Books?

I love to read fantasy as well and it sounds like I am just agreeing but it is true I like things ( books ) that are upbeat and positive.
I enjoyed the Last Battle so much because I really love dogs and at the end when the brave dogs of Narnia
were the first to stand with the people I was in tears. Yes it is sad about Susan, but it does make the point that we must all be ready. We must make the right choices. Of course seeing Reepicheep again was just wonderful.
That is my favorite book.
I also enjoyed a Horse and his Boy, that is probably one of the most interesting concepts I have read. The Magicians Nephew is great -- it has the most interesting information int it.
The Silver Chair -- not so good. It is definitely my least favorite.
I also love the Voyage of the Dawn Treader -- Reepicheep again : )
Oh yes I have read the Lord of the Rings books. I think that all of the fantasy we enjoy now is based on those books. I love Rivendell and of course Aragorn -- oh there is so much to say about Lord of the Rings.
I have recently read a book you might enjoy -- I absolutely loved it -- it is called Dragon Spell -- it is a very upbeat fantasy and just a wonderful book -- thee is 3 in the series --- Dragon Quest, & Dragon Knight are the other two. I believe the author is Donita K. Paul.

Hmmm, I will have to see if I can find those books somewhere then....sound really interesting.
What was your favorite part(s) of the Lord of the Ring Books? I know two of my most favorite are Tom Bombadil in Fellowship of the Ring and the last part in the King returns. I will have to brainstorm some to find some more. Now if only we could get panther to post some more...

I think you would like the books.
I like Return of the King the best, I like it after everyone is OK and the go back home. I also like the Shadowfax,
I like the riders of the Rohan. It is a little bit violent for me and do like the brighter and happier moments. I do not care for Gollum and all that precious stuff. I like Treebeard.
There is so much there, it is an amazing work.

Yeah, Tolkien was an amazing writer. Did you know that he was a linguist? He also knew many Norse legends such as Beilwulf( not the correct spelling I think). Have you ever read the Silmarillion? That book is just like a history book; it is a history of the Middle Earth till the beginning of the Lord of the RIngs. It is good but hard to read more than once unless you like reading ALOT of facts.
