This just randomly came to mind. I thought I would post some random and strange phobias that I've heard of.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.

Ambulophobia- Fear of walking.

Anthrophobia- Fear of flowers.

Apeirophobia- Fear of infinity.

Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. (Who thought of these?)

Barophobia- Fear of gravity.

Cacomorphobia- Fear of fat people. (How sad...)

Cathisophobia- Fear of sitting.

Chromophobia- Fear of colors.

Cibophobia- Fear of food. (Is that even possible?)

Deipnophobia- Fear of dining and dinner conversations.

Dextrophobia- Fear of objects on the right side of the body.

Domatophobia- Fear of being in a house.

Ecophobia- Fear of home.

Eisoptrophobia- Fear of mirrors. Fear of looking into mirrors.

Eurotophobia- Fear of the color red; fear of blushing.

Gallophobia8- Fear of France or the French.

Geumophobia- Fear of tastes or flavors.

Levophobia- Fear of objects on the left side of the body.

Logophobia- Fear of words.

Melophobia- Fear of music. (I'd be sad if I had this. Music is a major part of my life.)

Pantophobia- Fear of everything. (That's it!)

Pediaphobia- Fear of children. (The poor kids...)

Potophobia- Fear of alcohol or alcoholic beverages. (If only everyone had this fear...)

Russophobia- Fear of Russians.

Scholionophobia- Fear of school. (A lot of my friends would want to claim this phobia.)

Sinophobia- Fear of Chinese.

Siderophobia- Fear of stars. (But they're so pretty...)

Technophobia- Fear of arts and crafts. Fear of technology.

Trichophobia- Fear of hair.

Vestiophobia- Fear of clothing. (Yikes...)

Xanthophobia- Fear of the color yellow or the word yellow.

Zelophobia- Fear of jealousy.

Some of those are pretty insane, huh?

That is very interesting JJ, some of those are really strange -- I have acrophobia -- I mean it is bad -- it even bothered me playing Zelda in City in the Sky -- actually I haven't wanted to play Zelda since !

That first one on the list is my favorite. You wouldn't ever be able to tell anyone what it was lol.

I think I have a telephone phobia. I can't stand talking on them.

Oh, I don't like talking on the phone either.

My dad jsut bought me a cell because he got tired of not being able to get a hold of me when I was at school or at rehearsal. So he bought me one on the spur of the phone. The only thing I really like about it is that it has a camera. And that's all I've used it for so far. Is taking pics. I jsut don't like talking on the phone. And I don't like Text messaging either. But yeah, I really don't like talking on the phone. I find it extremely irritating. It's extremely rare for me to talk to my friends on the phone. Only if it's important. Usually, I jsut like to use the computer. But once in a while, I have to call them.

I don't think I can even begin to pronounce the first one. It's one of my favs though. However, I think the peanut butter one is just hilarious. Who has that fear?

I have a phobia (fear of blood) but i don't know the name.

I hardly ever use my cell phone except to call HR when I am out -- but I like having it just in case I had a problem. JJ -- send along some of those pics -- now that you have a camera phone I expect to see more of
you and Scout !

I do not know what that phobia is called a_mario -- but I would imagine a lot of people have that one ! I sure
do when it is my own.

I think I actually used to know the name for that. My sister faints anytime she sees blood whether it's hers or someone elses.

Hemophobia or Hemaphobia or Hematophobia- Fear of blood.

I do not mind the sight of blood in a controlled situation, my cousin is a vet and cares for my animals -- I always
stay with them during surgery.

Hey thanks finally i know the name of my phobia. Hehe yes i see blood and i start to feel bad, for this reason i didn't study medicine.
