Thanks anyway Oogy, I guess I got mixed up on that one :(

That sounds like an excellent reason for moving to Tulsa. Oh I do hope that works out. If you can get a start with a company where you would have the option of advancement doing something you like it would be great.
Sounds like an excellent plan to me. I think last I heard you sister and family were in California.

That is sort of how it is here, we live in a fairly safe little valley but the house is on a hillside so we are safer from the wind as the storms tend to lift. We live in the woods but we did have a tree sort of lean over on our business. Fortunately it is removed and there is little damage. HR can fix it easy enough. Fort Smith and the surrounding area got quite a bit of wind damage and of course the usual areas flooded. Lots of trees down on houses and stuff and power outages. I am glad all is well with you and your family.

It would be very nice to see you here more frequently. Yes I did see the "hopefully" part but I am a very optimistic person :) !!!!!

Haven't posted in this topic recently, figured maybe I should... and I should probably update some of the things that have been going on.

The moving to Tulsa thing didn't end up going through because I feel like God wants me to stay here for at least a while longer.

I did however get promoted at my job here yesterday :) Basically, I no longer talk to customers unless they ask for a supervisor. I just help out the agents that are taking calls by answering questions and giving approval to send tickets to our maintenance office.

Also, as I mentioned in the other topic, I recently traveled to Chicago to go on a date with a girl named Jacqueline. We had a great time, and I'm planning a slightly longer trip near the end of January so we can spend a whole weekend together - can't wait.

I'm still running the audio/video stuff at my church. They're planning to send me to a training thing in February so that I can get professional training for the equipment. So that's pretty cool.

Also, still planning to start leading worship for the youth group at my church soon... have a few things that need to happen before we can start that though.

Everything seems to be going well, and I feel incredibly blessed lately... it's almost too much to take in at once... feel like I'm going to explode lol...

That was an absolute joy to read. It does seem like you are in the right place. Congratulations on the promotion and it is very good to know that you enjoyed your trip so much.

I think working with the youth group sounds perfect for you and I think it will be a blessing for everyone.

I think the training on the sound system will be a very good thing and something you will surely enjoy.

It makes me very happy to hear you so happy, I sincerely hope it comes short of causing you to explode though : ) : ) You deserve it all Oogy. You have kept the faith no matter what the circumstances. I have been blessed by all you have had to say and I know the best is yet to come.

I look forward to hearing about it all.

I hope everyone's Christmas went well :)

Mine was nice. I went home for a couple days to spend time with my family. Got to hang out with my parents, sisters, bro inlaw, niece, and grandfather. It was really fun seeing everyone and just spending time together.

New Years is coming up in a couple days, my church is having some sort of party type thing for that(not really sure what we're going to do, but they're calling it a Watch Party). That should be fun.

Other than that, things are pretty much the same as last time I posted in here.

Can't wait for the weekend of the 23rd to get here so I can see Jacqueline again ;) My birthday is on the 22nd of January, so that'll be kind of like a nice birthday present for me hehe.

Yes it does, a nice birthday present indeed.

We had a very nice family Christmas as well, we all enjoyed the gathering very much.

Our church used to have a watch party every year, it was mostly singing and fellowship and prayer for the new year. We have not had that the last few years because the weather has been bad and it is a bit late for some of the older folks. Now we have a shorter service, I like that because HR and I like to be home, the 2 of us for New Years. It has always been a special time --- it may sound silly but I think starting a New Year is important and it truly should be with people you care about with thoughts and praise for our Lord and Saviour.

I look forward to hearing about you watch party Oogy, that is a very good thing for a church with an active youth group. Our church has a gathering with food and things for the young people. It provides a safe place to get together and have fun.

Happy New Year! :)

The watch party last night was fun. We had food and songs and a couple of sermons. It was all really good.

I have today off since it's New Years Day. So I've been relaxing... got to talk to Jacqueline earlier, that was nice. Also just been getting some things done around here that I've been putting off.

Speaking of which, I think I'm gonna run to the store real quick... just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year :)

It has been a very good day here as was New Years Eve. I am so pleased to hear that all went well for your watch party.

Sounds like 2009 is off to a good start for you.

I would also like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

I do look continuing our talks in the year to come.

Just one more day to work this week and then I get to head to Tulsa :)

Looking forward to seeing my sister, bro inlaw, and niece... and then over the weekend Jacqueline.

Hope you're doing well... just kinda wanted to check in before I leave and I'm not sure I'll have time to post tomorrow.

So the big day is here, oh my but I think I thought it was last weekend -- this is better -- the weather has improved and now you still have the good times ahead !

The whole trip sounds wonderful and I am so happy for you, I will be praying for you that this trip will be all you could hope it to be and that you have safe and pleasant traveling.

I appreciate the post and look forward to hearing of a great time when you return.

Have fun Oogy !

Well, I'm back. My plane landed back in Tulsa on Monday and then I was stuck there for a while because of the weather. I got back to Durant on Wednesday afternoon.

I had an amazing trip... we had a ton of fun and a great time together.

I can't even think of words to describe how good it was ;)
