Hmm... I don't really know that much about the Sonic game, so that might be true. I ordered a subscription renewal to NP a few months ago(like back in August I think...) since I hadn't been getting the magazine for a couple years. I still haven't gotten my first issue yet though. I looked at the MyNintendo part of Nintendo's website to see if it would mention anything about it. Apparently I am supposed to receive an issue sometime this month. Kind of stinks that it took this long though.
I think it's actually the settings on the dial-up connection that is being shared over to the USB adapter. But like you said, it really doesn't matter since you'd disconnect the USB adapter anyway. I haven't really noticed mine getting warm. It isn't the official Nintendo one, so that may make a difference, but I would think they still have essentially the same stuff inside.
Nope, I can't connect to the shop channel either. I've read about other people having problems with it too - or some that can connect but it's just really slow. It could just be because there's so many people on it, but I've tried it at odd hours of the night as well. Maybe Nintendo needs some more/better servers to handle the load or something.
Good morning to you too :)

I bet you get NP -- well I would say today but your mail comes early so tomorrow because Logan's last name starts with W and he always got his NP a day or 2 after me -- we thought they might be mailed out alphabetically. It is rather small this month. I am surprised it took that long also -- I have found them to be fairly quick.
My connector has always gotten very warm but I use a cord to reach the plug in on the tower to make it a little more convenient.
I do not understand about the dial up settings -- this is the only computer on this phone line -- we have 3 phone lines and HR uses a different line. However -- I do not find it to be any trouble to plug the connector in when I turn on the computer and unplug it when I am done -- sometimes I do not even bother. Some days I get lots of messages but some none.
I changed HR's Mii again -- now I found the mustache -- I did not do a very good job making the first one -- I will send you the final version and you can delete the other 2.
Do you think it is because we both have dial up -- mine is 115 K but I have never been able to connect to the shop channel -- I wondered if they have dial up blocked ?

That would be nice if it comes in the next couple of days. I haven't actually checked my mail today, I was actually about to do that. People with their last name in the W's always get cheated :P
Yeah, this one came with a little extender cord too, so I've got it on top of my tower. I guess it is a little bit warm right now, but it's not enough that I'd really noticed it before, and I don't think it would be enough to damage it or anything.
When you sent the other Mii, it automatically deleted the previous one. So that's kinda cool.
It could be because we're on dial-up but I've heard people saying that they have trouble accessing it even on cable connections. So I don't think that's entirely it. I don't think there is a way for them to specifically block dial-up. They actually say that you can't get on any of the internet channels with dial-up, but obviously you can. It could be that they have it set so that the connection times out after a certain amount of time, but if they do that they should have had it return you to the Wii menu or something rather than freezing up.

We are not much better off we are an S so I guess we are both at the bottom of the list.
I don't worry about the connector causing any trouble by getting warm -- HR says it is fine. I am overly cautious.
The only time it really got warm was when everyone was getting Wii set up and I was adding codes and since it was "new" everyone was sending messages and pictures and I try to answer all of my messages so I left it plugged in longer than usual -- I have not really noticed when using the DS on wifi but then I am sitting in my chair not here close. I am just very happy the connector does the trick. Quite amazing really.
You make a good point and I am encouraged -- perhaps one of these days the thing will surprise me and connect to the shop channel ! I would be shocked -- I try it every now and again and I do not even need or want anything -- I just want to see if I can.
I am going to read that article about Sonic a little more closely later -- I just gave NP a quick look, I was so in to that book. I finished it and I really enjoyed it so before I start the second one I will read my NP.
I do not like things that make me feel pressured -- I just finished a level in Yoshi's Island DS that sort of scrolled on whether you were ready or not and Kirby Canvas Curse did that in several levels -- I do not like it -- I am rather methodical and do not like that feeling of being out of control. Sonic is fast enough without the extra pressure !
If you ever do manage to get on the shop channel please let me know.
Well the blue light is on so I had better go check out my messages. Let me know what you think about the Sonic review.

Woohoo! Lol, sorry I'm kinda excited. You might remember me being a bit confused last week when I received my Wii and it had Red Steel and Zelda in it even though I'd been expecting Red Steel and Excite Truck. Well, apparently there was some kind of glitch in their system and I received Excite Truck today since it wasn't sent with the original package. So that's an extra game for free. They don't seem to mind, since it's not like I tried to cheat them or anything. Now, I already have Excite Truck since I exchanged that particular copy of Zelda for it. However, I've got my eye on Sonic(I haven't read the review yet since I still didn't get my copy of NP). Now I've got a good way to get Sonic once it comes out, or some other game if I change my mind. Also, the good thing about Excite Truck is that it is a Nintendo game, and Nintendo takes forever to drop their prices, so I could probably hold on to it for months as long as I don't open it and still be able to return it for a full priced game(assuming I don't grab Sonic at the end of this month).

I can clearly understand your excitement -- the only hard part will be waiting for Sonic : ) You will probably not mind that full on run thing -- I still haven't read that article thoroughly anyway -- you see --I am now reading the second book. I even have a second opinion -- HR started it yesterday morning and is almost finished -- another book the 8 th in a series he has been reading came -- and he still could not put down Dragonspell. Dragon Quest is having the same effect on me but I only read 1/2 of it. We like to watch PBR Bull Riding on Saturday night. ( on Satellite televison I mean ) HR just kept reading -- even I quit !
I do believe you are right -- I do not think that Excite Truck will drop in price anytime soon -- I think it is fairly popular. Other Sonic is there anything else worth checking out -- I think I am going to be waiting until April for Super Paper Mario. That is a must have for me -- I played the other 2 Paper Mario Games and just loved them.
I am really happy for you Oogy -- and I do look forward to hearing what you get -- If you get Sonic then I can get a first hand report. I know it won't be out for quite awhile but I am hearing good things about Mario Galaxy,
they are trying to make up for Mario Sunshine and well they should !

I'm going to be swamped with games... not a problem I normally have lol. It's a good problem though.
Anyway, I ordered Elebits with some of my birthday money(found a good deal on Amazon last week). It came in the mail today. I ordered it the day before I found out I was going to end up with an extra game because of that extra copy of Excite Truck.
So now I've had my Wii for almost exactly 2 weeks and have 4 games, a second unopened copy of one of those games, and Wii sports. I've never even gotten a system this close to launch before, and when I did eventually get them, I've never gotten that many games that fast.
So far, I've enjoyed all of these games, and haven't completed any of them, so there's still a lot of playtime in there. And in another couple of weeks, I'll be exchanging that unopened copy of Excite Truck for another game lol. I don't know what to do with myself.
As for other games you would be interested in, I'm not sure. I never played either of the other Paper Mario games, but I've heard they're good, and I'm sure this one will be no exception.

Well you are on a roll --- you have more games than I do and I got my Wii at launch ! but -- if you have a good report on Elebits I might very well get that one -- I am having mixed emotions about it. Let me know what you think and if you recommend it -- parts sound good --- parts sound bad : (
What are you considering trading Excite Truck in for.
I am hopeful about Dewey but I do not even know the release date -- did you ever get your NP ? It has an article about the game.
Yes -- I fully intend to get Super Paper Mario -- I will most likely pre order it -- No question -- I loved the first 2
and I can only imagine how much fun it will be with the Wii mote.
"I don't know what to do with myself."
That made me smile -- you deserve all the good things coming your way Oogy, I find you to be a special person and I am very happy for you. P L A Y games of course !
I am so glad to see you still here at Lilbro, I enjoy w-o-n, but this is a place for friends and like minded folks.
A place for friends to talk and to share thoughts and needs for prayer, faith and such. There is no place quite like it.
Did you get lots of Miis and such from w-o-n, I think peopl are getting a little tired of the slow messages but I do still hear from them. Jonah tries so hard and I try to support him.
I must fo and feed the critters and take care of some responsibilities -- and then perhaps to play a bit : )

I'm planning to trade in Excite Truck for Sonic.
I still haven't received my NP :( I would like to read the article on Dewey and the one on Sonic.
I'm definitely enjoying Elebits so far. It's a weird game, but I like weird. The voice acting is pretty bad, but the game itself is fun. I don't know how much you know about the game, but you basically go from room to room moving things around, opening drawers, flipping switches, and turning knobs. You do it all with the wiimote, while using the nunchuck to move around, crouch, and stand on your toes. The object is to find these mysterious little creatures hidden throughout the level. They can be hiding inside pots, behind books on a shelf, or even inside appliances that you have to turn on in order to get them out. Sometimes they even come out of the water faucet. To clear the level, you have to get a certain number of watts stored up. Different Elebits are worth different amounts of watts once you capture them. You have a time limit that keeps you moving. Sometimes, the time limit can be a bit tight, but overall I think it makes the game better than it would be without a time limit. Some levels have special conditions such as not making too much noise or not breaking more than a certain amount of stuff.
I haven't really messed with anything other than story mode. I did go into edit mode for a little while, but I didn't really spend enough time in it to do anything good. I mostly just stacked a bunch of basketballs on top of each other and then played the level to watch them fall down lol.
I think you would like it. What parts of it did you think sound bad? Also, if you've got any questions about it, I'll see if I can answer them.
I haven't been bombarded with Miis. The only person that has added me back so far is Lilbev. I've been getting the email messages though, and I think that's a pretty cool idea.
Thanks for the kind words :) I'm liking w-o-n too, but like you said, this is a special place.

As I recall you can report a issue missing after the 15 th of the month -- I had to do that 2 months ago-- and the issue never did arrive. I think something is wrong -- they failed to get your subscription set up or something. Nintendo will replace a missing issue very quickly once reported.
Oh course -- I had momentarily forgotten about Sonic -- yes that one sounds pretty good -- I did read that article finally and found out that although the character continues to move -- you can apply the brakes -- a very good thing. I am more interested in it now. I do like Sonic and the screen shots look great !
So you like Elebits -- I will keep that in mind when I need a new game -- I have decided to finish Zelda -- then finally have a go at Excite Truck --and Cars -- and see how close that gets me to April and Super Paper Mario ! I do have some really good DS games, as I have mentioned also. I think Elebits may get even cheaper fairly quickly -- it does not seem to be all that popular -- however -- I often like the games that the majority do not seem to care for. I think Dewy looks very very interesting -- I need to find a release date for that one. I do wish you would get your NP -- we need to keep up with these things. Those folks in the UK are always wayyyy
behind getting games.
What did not sound like fun is just the repetitiveness of looking for the Elebits -- and the often mentioned annoying nature of the main character. I am not fond of time limits either -- I am just have not seen the appeal so far. One person said it was sad to catch the little Elebits : ( I liked catching ghost in Luigi's Mansion -- A LOT ! I loved that game. The Poltergeist 2000 -- now that was a machine.
I am glad you like w-o-n, it is the best site after this one I have found ! But we have such great members : )
I am not aware of any other Nintendo sites run my ministers ! Jonah is a good person and I am thankful for him. He keeps it clean.
Good morning Oogy.
