Anyways, just thought I'd tell you one of my interesting work stories. The only other one I have is that a familiar one came into the store today, and when I talked to her I found out she was one of my sister's old co-workers from when she worked at Rite-Aid. Which was interesting. She thought I looked familiar too. And when she discovered why, she realized I look a lot like my sister. Which of course, I don't agree with. She's got such a different skin tone, and hair color, and her face shape is way different. At least to me. But of course we're sisters, there are similarities. We have some Native American in our family tree and I think Steph really picked up on some of those features. She has very dark coarse hair, and tan olive skin. I have olive skin tone too, but she's darker than I am. I think I have more of the European features than she does. I have more pink in my face, especially my cheeks and nose. And I have lighter, softer, and thinner hair than she does. Not really thin, but has heavy as hers. Less volume I guess. I also have a little bit of a wider nose, and rounder too. Hers is a little more pointed at the end.
My parents just came home, and my dad got his new shotgun. Recently he decided to buy a gun for protection, because he feels it would be a good idea. And now it's sort of become his hobby. So he bought a shotgun as well. And he became a member of the NRA, as well as a member of a local shooting range. He took me last week! Turns out I'm a pretty darn good shot!! Haha! It was a lot of fun, not only because I got to shoot a lot, but I also got a change to spend the whole day with my dad, just him and me. Which is rare! And the best days ever!
Well, gotta go! I have to run to the store and pick up the new Star Trek movie for my mom. It just came out today!! We're excited!!

I intend to get the Star Trek movie as well.
I loved reading all about your work experience, I too think I would be quite uncomfortable in
the situation you described.
Target shooting is so much fun, I love it. It has been a hobby of ours for years.
I know that you must be very very busy JJ, I do understand that and I suppose you will be even
busier as time goes on.
I think that you are doing wonderfully and yes ---- it is a longtime before you need to be thinking
of a family. I like to think of you finishing your schooling and teaching awhile before considering
stating a family but you will eventually be an excellent Mom.
It is great that you and your boss have so much in common, it sounds like you have truly
found the right job for you. I do hope you get to stay on after holidays, it is nice to earn
your own money isn't it ?
Thanks for such and interesting post JJ. I am happy things are going so well for you.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life is just so busy. I have two weeks of classes left and then finals. And then Christmas and stuff!! It's just crazy.
We didn't really have Thanksgiving here. Dad was working and we couldn't get together with the Long's. There was always a day when someone was working. So, mom made Spaghetti. And now I'm really craving Turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce and and sweet potatoes and PIE! Specifically Pecan. :( Oh well. I can wait till Christmas.
Well, anyways. not much to report. Lifes pretty good :) Not much going on except the normal school, work, and drama rehearsal. And Church. Oh I found out I have gall stones.
Long story short, I woke up Saturday morning just after midnight, with really bad upper abdominal pain. After two hours and a zantac, 4 advil, three tums, two darvaset, and one norco, plus some dairy, the pain finally passed. Five minutes later it came back like a wave, and a lot stronger. So, my dad took me to the ER at his work, and after three more episodes of the pain coming and going, it stopped right as I got into the ER. Of course... The pills actually kicked in. Anyways. We got there at three. They did some blood work. An ultrasound. And discovered I had gallstones. At least I got some sleep in the ER though.
See, Friday I had to get up at two in the morning because I had work at four. So, that night I had barely gotten to sleep when the pain woke me up. So, I was just really frustrated. The whole two hours, was just crying cause all I wanted to do was sleep, and I was so tired. When the pain stopped I was just weeping I was so relieved. And my dad was like "Why are you still crying!?" Haha...
Anyways, I got to sleep in the ER for a few hours, and it was surprisingly comfortable. The hosoital gowns are actually kinda cozy.

No, I can't believe it! It's so weird, that finals are next week! I'm kind of freaking out now! I have a couple papers to work on. Actually, funny story. Last week, I had been planning on taking Saturday and committing the whole day to just working on school work and all my final papers. Cause my paper for communications is due this week and my English paper is due final day, I thought. But then I got on the computer last Thursday, and got an announcement from my English teacher saying the deadline for the final paper was that night! I finished that paper in two and half hours! Record time!! I mean I had already done a lot of the research. But it's a 5-7 page research paper. What happens when I get to the point in college where I have to write 30 page papers? I realized I need to be a lot more diligent with writing dates down.
Spaghetti wasn't that bad. But I was sad that we couldn't share with my dad or the Longs. But next Saturday we're doing a "Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner and gift exchange" with the Longs. We were having the same problem with getting together on Christmas as we were on Thanksgiving so we decided to meet in the middle.
My mom is working Christmas day, so we decided to open gifts on Christmas eve, after my dad gets home from work. That should be interesting. Sadly though, when I first heard my mom was working on Christmas day, I was kind of relieved. I thought "Yay, we get to spend the whole day with dad!" Which is sad. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my mom! But spending all day with her is not fun. She's a very high maintenance person. And sometimes she's overwhelming to deal with. But spending time with my dad is the best thing in the world!
I'm totally fine now! They gave me some meds to help with gallstones, and decrease acid in my stomach. And they also gave me Norco, which is a type of narcotic, to help with the pain if it ever comes back. I've only had to take it once since. It's not a big deal. :) I've been doing well.
I don't know how I'm gonna everything done either! A lot of gifts I wanna do this year are drawing. I've been getting so good at art lately, I want to use that in making gifts for my family, while also getting them something else they can use too. For instance, I bought this "paint your own" jewelry box for my sis, and I decided to paint it all black, and then paint all the different ships used in Star Trek on it, and stars in the background. Cool, huh? She's such a huge trekky! And for her drawing, I was to draw her two favorite characters fighting over her, sort of like a tug-o-war over her. Haha! She'll love it! I think I'll draw my mom in scrubs, flying over a hospital with "Super Nurse" written on top. Lol. And for my dad, I want to draw him shooting at a target range or something. He's picked up guns as a hobby recently, and he's loving it! I'm actually quite enjoying it myself. Neither my mom or my sister really like it though. Which is actually kind of cool because it's kind of become something my dad and I can share together. Something we can talk about and have fun with together. Something special. And it's the first time since before my sister was born that my dad has actually had a hobby. The hobby plus switching to day shift, has made him so much happier lately. He's so much more active, going places all the time, and being up early in the morning, not tired, hanging out with us more, and not always on the computer or watching TV. It's been so good for him, and he looks so much more healthy, and lively. It's been great!

It is hard to believe your first semester is almost done. sounds like you are doing really well.
I am glad to hear that the meds work and you are feeling like yourself again -- that sounded awful.
Christmas in the middle, that is an excellent idea, it is about the people and the friendship, the exact day
does not matter. Sometimes we have to do that for birthdays becasue Lisa is also and RN and she
works nights and I do not have to tell you about the odd hours. We don't mind though -- you just do
what you have too to share with the ones you love.
I think the jewelry box for your sister sounds awesome -- you are right -- with that and the rest of
the gifts you intend to make you are going to be busy. I am behind with that too. I may not get
everything I need to made.
We like target shooting and have done it as a hobby our entire life, Lisa loves it and it is a good thing to
share as a family. I think it is great that you and your Dad have that special thing just for the two of you.
It was great to see your post JJ, and it sounds like you are very happy and doing well.
Are you still enjoying the job ?
Goodnight JJ, we will talk soon, I hope :)

I adore my job!! I'm really lucky to have an amazing boss! She's so fun, and sweet! Actually, we're a lot alike, she and I! We have the same kind of personality, and we have so many common interests and likes. Everyday I'll say something about things I do, or things I like or how crazy I am about organization and she'll be like "ME too!" Today we found out that we both enjoy pretty much any genre of movie except horror. And we both love musicals. We have a lot of the same favorite movies! And we enjoy a lot of the same books! She's a big LR fan! It's so fun! I really hope I can stay on as a regular hire, and be able to work with her for a long while. She's my favorite person to work with.
Yay for finals this week whoo woo... Blah. Haha! Luckily, both my communications and my history professors allow us to bring in some sort of notes for the final. For history, a five by five card, for Communications, one page of notes, only one side, regular sized handwriting. Which is fine, because my regular handwriting is small anyways. Lol. I don't know about my English final yet. I need to email my Prof and figure out if we even have one and if we do, what time it's at and such. My art final was a drawing, which came out awesome! I drew one of by class buds. I really liked how it turned out, and my prof after some helpful advice about a couple things to change, was impressed.
Painting is NOT as easy as drawing... Especially when painting on wood, with no outline sketch. I think I need to make a cutout to get the shape right... It might work better that way. I hope. But I'm still excited about it, though! It was fun painting the box all black. I almost didn't have enough paint!

That sounds great JJ, I do hope you get to keep the job after the holidays, it sounds perfect.
I would love to see a picture of the box when you are finished.
Seems like everything is really good in your world right now.
I am busy with all the normal things that surround the holidays. These are very special times.
