You get rain??!!! No fair.... I hate Southern California...

Well, looky here. You gets a post. :) I decided I'd post. Since you mentioned it this morning in your email, and I was thinking about it last night, it seemed like fate. So, here I am.

I'm going to add Lilbro to my links on the toolbar. So that whenever I claim to have nothing to do, oh wait yes I do. I can post on Lilbro. Though it seems, as always, you're the only one keeping up GL. I find that terribly sad. :( We used to be so lively, with so many people. But that's OK. Even if it;ll just be you and me, it'll still be fun :)

I am absolutely astounded and beyond thrilled to see a post here ! It has been very lonely since Oogy left.
I will not give up on Lilbro though, it is still important to me.

JJ, I really am happy you posted :) I will tell you here instead of in email that I finally started reading Brisinger.
I have only read about 25 pages but it feels familiar. It is all so violent now.

Do you still read much ? I always am reading something. I still like books about dragons and just finished some great books the first of the 3 is Dragon Slippers.

I did my daily check here and had to look twice to believe that someone other than me had posted !

Thanks JJ, it really made me smile to see you here.

I forgot -- yes we have been getting a lot of rain, It is 73 degrees with rain --- absolutely unbelievable for August. It has been cool and pleasant for about 2 weeks now. We had 58 degrees one morning. We have been really enjoying. I would imagine we will be seeing more summer time type weather though. Fall is not that far away now ! ( at least that is how I like to think )

I do not think I would make a good Southern California resident LoL

Haha. I don't even make a good Southern Californian. I wish we had rain. but I am excited that summer is fast approaching an end. :)

I still read whenever I can. I've been reading Inkhear. I saw the movie, and decided I should finish the book. It's much better. I still can't find my copy of the Riddle. Makes me mad.

I never finished Brisingr. I got through the first few chapters, but I couldn't really get into it. He's changed his style a bit, I think. You're right. It is very violent. My friend has borrowed my copy of Brisingr for the fast few months. Actually more like 8 months. She's had it for a while. But I don't mind. She hasn't finished it either.

I'm happy to post again. :) I've always loved it here, though I never seem to remember it. I guess out of sight, out of mind. Which is a sad, sad thing. But I will do my best to continue to post.

We want to see the Inkheart movie but we haven't managed yet. We did read all 3 books and liked them. Lisa read them as well and she liked them too.

Oh no -- have you permanently lost the Riddle, I was so hoping you would finish the series. The last book
The Singing is really good. I could barely put it down. Oh I do hope you find The Riddle !

We have some summer weather coming back next week, I dread it , it has been so nice lately but it is August and it is to be expected.

I do hope you will still have time to post once in awhile after school starts but I know you will be very busy.
How much of a drive will you have to school JJ ?

Good morning and I do pray that church services today bless you all.

Commute to school is about.... two minutes. Haha!! Lucky for me, I live down the street and around the corner from MSJC.

I ahd a wonderful day at church today. We had a lovely worship service. And we had a really interesting sermon about how when the devil knocks us down, we can always get back up again if we just call on the Lord. I hadn't been to church in three weeks(two because of our annual trip to the river, and last week I could make it because the night before I couldn't get to sleep until 5am). And it was nice catching up afterwards with all my friends. I love my church. They're my family away from home.

It was really hot out today... At least I got to use my sunglasses. Did I tell you I got contacts?! I'm so excited about them! Though, I haven't gotten fully used to them yet. It took me more than twenty minutes to get the left contact in!! It was ridiculous. I got it in after ten minutes, then realized there was a something caught between the lense and my eye, like a thin, small fraction of hair or something. So I took it out, cleaned it, and then tried again. Ten minutes later I got it in. Then I went into the kitchen to grab something to eat before I left, and my eye was itching a little. I rubbed it and the contact popped right out. Another five minutes and I finally got it back in. Thank goodness!! It took me all but a minute to get the right one in. But the left eye just doesn't like contacts apparently. Oh well. I'll figure it out.

I found my book today! It was under my bed. I must have left it on my bed and it fell or something. But I was on the floor of my room today, and I saw it under there! Yay!! There's never anything under my bed. So I was happy.

It was a cute movie. They changed quite a few details. But it was still pretty good. They burned Elinor's books though. Sadly.

The trip to the river -- I have wondered if you would keep that up as all of you kids are growing up. Did you get sunburned this year ?

Contacts -- well good for you. I bet they are hard to get used to. I can not imagine putting something in my eye.

I am so happy you missed your church and you have continued to stay active.

So school is really really close. I am am rather glad to hear that. I have a hard time accepting that our little JJ, the baby of Lilbro. is going to college in just a very short time. My goodness but you have all grown up.
It seems that just a short time ago Logan and Beau were still in California and Silas lived close by. All
high school age. Now all grown up and doing great and even little JJ is going to college.

I wonder what Panther is doing.

So you found The Riddle did you.

We shall have a Pellinor topic and talk OK. the last book is soooooo good. Get busy reading JJ.

Thanks for the post, it so nice to have someone else here again.

Nah, no sunburn. Well, except on my nose. Got a nice tan thought. Yeah we'll probably try to keep it going as long as we can. Though I'm sure as years go by, less of us kids we'll be able to go some years as we get jobs, and go to college, make plans of our own. But I'd still like to go as often as I can.

Gosh, I'm just the baby everywhere I go. Well, except church. That's nice, at least. Haha. I don't mind though. It's fun. It's weird isn't it. All of us growing up, go off to maybe someday do great things. :)

I'm very glad school is so close. It makes life a lot easier. It gives me more time in the day, rather than having to take a long drive to somewhere.

I would love to have a Pellinor topic! Oh, and did I tell you my friend's little sister read it too? And now my other friend is reading it! Hopefully I can get Sara to read it at some point. She loves to read, but she takes forever in doing it cause she's always so busy. I don't know how she does it but somehow there is also something she needs or wants to do. Never a dull moment with that one, let me tell you. Haha! I'm gonna miss her when she goes off away one day, if she does end up moving to Virginia. I don't know what I'd do without her.

I am very glad to be here again :)

It has been a tradition for so long, all of you going to the river. I hope it can continue even if everyone can not make every year.

I agree -- less driving time and more time for studying and posting and emailing me LOL

Let me know when you get started reading the Riddle and of course you must get The Singing -- it is so good.

I am so happy you are back and maybe we can keep Lilbro going. Oogy said he would check back in,
I hope he does.
