The library I am at at the moment at the University of Queensland is four stories high. We have something like 7 libraries on campus, and a few more on the other campuses as well.

But it doesn't have any novels. I go to the council libraries if I want to borrow novels, but I find that I am buying more and more since we have a big Borders near us now. I love buying books. I have run out of room on my bookshelf I have so many. I need to buy a second one so that I can get rid of the stacks that I am starting to get.

Now I must go to class, or I will be late.

It sounds like you have ever thing you need to learn. That truly is a blessing. I like all kinds of books that are in an area I have use for of course " how to books " are great. I just received a book on using and cultivating native plants. Maybe instead of trying to fight the woods back all the time I can incorporate it into the landscape.

Good books are a treasure.

I think you like fluffy dogs JJ.

Yes, I do. They're fun to cuddle with. But they do shed something awful. I like short-haired dogs too. Not all huskies are long haired. If I were tog et one, which I hope I can, I would keep his hair cut at a medium length and not long.

I am sorry about Chloe, she wasn't that old was she ?

Umm... 5 or 6 years I think. Not too old. But she was having constant problems with UTIs. And for some reason they just wouldn't go away. She kept peeing all over the house and we couldn't stop it. She had gotten kind of lethargic too. Always sleeping and kind of mopey looking, and really thin. She was always a small cat but the past few months she was really skinny.

I do not think Cache looks like an Australian Shepherd except that he is a red merle.

Well, not he doens't. But the face and coloring of that dog, just reminded me of him. And the look in his eye.

GL, you have seen Man From Snowy River, right? Well, today in Geography, since we're studying Australia, we watched a show that was continuation of the movies. It's supposed to be like twenty or something years later, when the main character has kids and his wife has died. What's weird though is they changed his name to Matt Macullough or something like that. I was like "What in the world? How could they change his name?"

Well both breeds are stock dogs, that would give them something in common. I haven't heard anything about Cache in awhile. I do hope he is doing well.

Tell me more about this continuation of Man from Snowy River. Was it a movie or a t.v. show. I have never heard of it. Yes we have talked quite a lot about those movies JJ. I was pretty upset when the killed Denny
( that is the horses name isn't it ) and I did not like Return to Snowy river as much as the first movie but we have watched them both quite a few times. Please tell me more about what you saw, if it is a t.v. show we may order a season of it. KARA WARNING ( spare yourself, do not read on ) There is a show we love from Australia, McClouds Daughters, it went off the air here and we have order it from Australia. ( Kara hates it and I think I spelled the name wrong ) If what you saw is a t.v. thing we might like to order it like your family does t.v. shows. We got a zone free DVD player just for that show.

That is sad about Chloe, it must have been very hard for you all. We had to give up our very very old dog Chris a while back, he was almost 20 but it is still very very hard.

I don't think you spell wrong. Do I?

I don't really care about McClouds Daughters anymore. I do not recall these Man from Snowy River movies. The poem by AB Paterson is AWESOME though, and one of the shows at the Royal Brisbane Show is almost always a live version of that with real horses.

You do know The Man From Snowy River is all based on a classic poem my AB "Banjo" Patterson, right?

Huh. OK. Its a long poem, more like a story, written by one of Australia's most celebrated bush poets. If you love Australia culture, then you must read this poem. That's what REAL Australian bush culture as like.

Go an read it. Now.

No I did not know that but I sure am glad that I do now and I did just as I was told and went straight away and read it and enjoyed it very much.

This bit I did not care for :

He was blood from hip to shoulder from the spur;

I can not imagine Denny like that.

It is a wonderful poem and I shall read more from AB Patterson.

Thank you Kara

That was a cool poem. Anfd of course the scene in the first movie with Jim riding down the "terrible decent" is the coolest thing!

Tell me more about this continuation of Man from Snowy River. Was it a movie or a t.v. show. I have never heard of it.

Ok, so, I don't really know much about it. It's a tv show, but me teacher didn't tell us what it was called. She just decided to watch an episode, we didn't get to finish. Perhaps we will tomorrow.

The epsiode was about an annual festival/race that the people of the town put on in order to honor Jim(or in the show, Matt) and the day he caught the colt. A stranger comes into town, and start's making a ruckus, bit of brat. Later you find out that he's Matt's Nephew, son of his brother who lives in America. And the kid, Luke I think his name was, wants to run in the race and win, but he want's to beat his uncle down the decent. He's kind of cocky and rude. Very arrogant. He talked about hearing the story of the Great Decent all his life, and he wants to show Matt up. Or something like that. Like I said we didn't finish it. The main character, Matt has three kids, and his wife is pased away. He has two boys and a girl, Rob, Colin, and Danny(the daughter).

So, I just looked up the show(guess I should've done that before I started this, Haha.) It's called Snowy River: The Mcgregor Saga.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106136/

I did not like Return to Snowy river as much as the first movie

Yeah, me either. And I was sad when Denny died. Apparently they made a third movie too. But I haven't seen it.

If you like AB Patterson, you MUST read Clancy of the Overflow.
