Sorry JJ, I did not like Eldest all that much -- and it has been pretty well discussed anyway. I really did enjoy Eragon, but I think it has been pretty thoroughly discussed too. I think it may take the Third book to get things going here again, HOWEVER some of the trivia buffs may have other ideas.
I will watch and learn :) I however --- have nothing to add to this topic :(

Hmm, yes, I'm wondering what to discuss as well. Any speculations on how Murtagh got all of his power (to be better than Eragon) and what Roran's part in this is going to be and if Eragon actually will marry anyone?

Not really, Eldest was a surprise to me, I have no idea where the next book might go. All I can say is that I hope it is more like Eragon. I will be very disappointed if this Trilogy ends badly.

I do wonder where Eragon got all that power, but as to how he did, I don't have the slightest of a theory. NOr do I have any idea as to Roran's role in all of this. And personally, the only thing I am hopeing about Eragon is that he doesn't marry Arya. Otherwise, I suppose there might be someone that CP could randomly put in the third book that Eragon would "fall in love with" and marry. I would laugh my head off he did. :D

Why would you laugh your head off? I think that might be the best way to do it after all. That, or he and Sapphira just go off together because really, if Eragon does get married, then how would his wife relate to Sapphira?

Or for that matter what would Sapphira think about the wife ?

Umm I guess I just don't think that Eragon has had much luck in relationships in the past. Well, I wouldn't really laugh my head off but I guess I would find it a little strange. I think I'd prefer it if he and Sapphira jsut went off together. I guess it would jsut be weird if Eragon really did "fall in love with someone" and they "loved " him back :)
Oh and remember how we had that discussion as to whether Sapphira was purplish or a real blue. Well, I think I found the answer to our question. In Eragon on page 38(at least that's the page in my book) the first paragraph, second line down. It says " Its scales were a deep sapphire blue, the same color as the stone." So I think we can safely say that Sapphira is blue. :) I think.
